Every October, Meeting Ground holds the Empty Bowls event to raise funds for Wayfarers’ House. Hand-crafted bowls and delicious food for a great cause!
The 7th annual Empty Bowls was held Friday, October 7, 2016 from 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm.
All proceeds benefit Wayfarers’ House.
The 7th annual Empty Bowls event sponsored by Art Space on Main was a huge success! Supporters of both Art Space on Main and Wayfarers’ House flocked to the store on Main Street in Elkton, MD to purchase handmade bowls made by artists throughout the year and taste savory soups donated by local restaurants. There was also a variety of breads donated by Minihane’s Pub, beverages and tasty desserts made by members of Art Space on Main from which to choose. Selecting the perfect bowl was a time-consuming process, as there were over 300 bowls to choose from, ranging in price from $10-$40. Meeting Ground thanks the owners, potters, and all the restaurants who donated soups: Chili’s, Hurricane Grill and Wings, Olive Garden, Pat’s Select of Elkton, Triton Marina Bar and Grill, and Woody’s Crab House.
