1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 “Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Prayer is a constant in my life-especially praying for all who touch and are touched by Meeting Ground and the Cecil County Men’s Shelter.
I pray for our current guests and residents.
I pray for former residents and guests who have successfully secured housing.
I pray for the donors who give generously so that others may benefit.
I pray that we continue to do God’s will, God’s way.
I pray that the Board of Directors wisely guides the organization.
I pray that the staff demonstrate boundless compassion and grace.
I pray ……And I pray…..And I pray…..
I am pleased that each Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. I meet with God in prayer to offer praise and thanksgiving for all that God is doing at, through, and with Meeting Ground. As part of my Monday morning prayers, I pray over the prayer box which contains the prayers of the guests at the Mary Randall Center. Some of the prayers request very basic needs, including housing. Most of the prayers are utterances of thanksgiving for God’s grace, provision, and salvation. As I pray, I am reminded that God hears every prayer and responds to each prayer-sometimes in the most unexpected ways.
